Neighbourhood Plan

The East Meon Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is the culmination of a number of years work by many volunteers across the Parish.  On 9th November 2017, the East Meon NDP was passed at referendum with the support of 84% of those who voted.  The NDP was ‘made’ by the South Downs National Park Authority at their Planning Committee on 14th December 2017 and is now part of the South Downs National Park Authority’s (SDNPA) Development Plan. The East Meon NDP will now be used in the determination of Planning Applications in the East Meon Neighbourhood Area (the whole Parish).

The East Meon Neighbourhood Plan can be found on the SDNPA webpage here

Referred to in the NDP is the Pattern Book, which provides information on the characterisation of the village to assist in guiding future development.

East Meon Parish Council urges those preparing planning applications to consult the NDP and Pattern Book before submitting an application.
