Advanced notice of work - Clanfield Road

To replace approximately 1.5 kilometres of old, unreliable water main in Clanfield Road which has previously burst, causing interruptions to local residents’ drinking water supplies.

The £335,000 project will be split into two sections. The first section will be to lay pipe between Frogmore Lane and Oxenbourne Lane and the second section will be from a point close to South Farm to a location 440 metres south.

Work is set to begin in early November and it is anticipated the project will take approximately four months to complete.

In order to complete this work safely, Clanfield Road will be closed to passing motorists for the duration of the project.

A clearly-signed diversion route, as agreed by the local highways authority, will be in place and access to homes and businesses will always be maintained.

A dedicated project webpage has been set up and can be viewed here: corporate.southeastwater.co.uk/clanfieldroad
